How to apply Color Street Nail Polish Strips

How to apply Color Street French Nail Polish Strips

The Best Manicure with Color Street: 8 Tips for your best application

Tip #1: Wash Hands

Before applying your Color Street Nail Strips make sure you’ve washed your hands. This will ensure that all excess oils on your hands are removed before applying your polish strip.

Tip #2: Make Sure Color Street nail strips are at room temperature

Make sure your strips are at room temperature. Color Street Nail Strips that are cold can potentially crack. If your Color Street nail strips are cool just place them in the palm of your hand to warm them up.

Tip #3: Push back cuticles

Now that your hands are washed use an orange stick to push by your cuticles. By not pushing back your cuticles the nail strip may potentially be placed on top causing it to lift as your nail starts to grow.

Tip #4: Use your thumb

Use your thumb as your tool. Color Street Nail Strips are 100% polish so they are soft and flexible. All you need to remove the excess polish strip from the nail is your thumb.

Tip #5: Start with the Pinky

Start with your pinky and work your way through each nail leaving your thumb for last.

Tip #6: Use alcohol prep pad before and after

Use your alcohol prep pad both before and after applying your Color Street Nail Polish strip. Using the alcohol prep pad before application removes excess oil and preps the nail and using the alcohol prep pad once applied ensures that the nail strip is properly sealed.

Tip #7: Wait 30 minutes

Allow at least 30 minutes for your nail strip to “cure”. While Color Street Nail Strips don’t require any dry time you want to give it some time to properly adhere to the nail. I recommend applying the strips at night before bed.

Tip #8: Use Clear as Day

To make your Color Street manicure last even longer be sure to use our Clear As Day strips. (You can find them HERE).

Match your outfit to your nails

How to Pick Your Nail Polish According to Your Outfit

Have you ever considered picking your nail polish according to your outfit?   Whatever the color of your outfit, there is a way to pick your nail polish according to it.

- Don’t be afraid to color block with your nail polish -

The best way to match your nail polish to your outfit, is to color block.  Color-blocking is thought of as the exploration of taking colors that are opposites on the color wheel and pairing them together to make interesting and complementary color combinations.

- Are your clothes plain or printed? -

Picking out your nail polish according to your outfit depends a lot on the type of your clothes. If the majority of your clothes are printed, stay away from patterned nail strips.. In fact, go for one color tone, and make sure that it matches your outfit and does not contrast with it.

- Match your nail polish with your accessories -

A great way to make sure your nail polish matches with your outfit, is to make sure it matches with your accessories. For example, if you are wearing a gold statement necklace, feel free to go for a gold shade of nail polish. You can also try to match your nails with the color of your bag, to create a balance between your outfit, and your nail polish.

- The basic nail polish colors -

If you are unsure of how to match your nail polish to your outfit, always stick to the basic and practical nail polish colors. For example the nudes, the pale pinks, and the french manicure.  French manicures will match with any type of outfit you sport.
